In order to keep Hickory Grove Townhomes a beautiful and safe place to live, many projects are underway or planned. Below you will find a form to submit any new projects for the association to evaluate, as well as a list of projects currently planned, and those that have been completed.

136 South Fenceline Maintenance & Replanting Group agreed to maintain the wood fence, and install a line of junipers, service berries, or wildflowers that would require little maintenance would work nicely. Deb (#4410) and Gary offered to share information about the plantings he has completed recently at his property. 5/13/19
135 South Fenceline Stump Removal Lois (#4420) inquired about the stump of the tree that was removed along the south fence line. Denny agreed to get a bid to remove the stump and report back to the board. He anticipates it will cost $400 to $500. 5/13/19
134 Replanting flowerbed at #4535 The flowerbed at #4535 (Baier) will be replanted according the original planting drawings, which Denny and Suzy found recently. 5/13/19
133 Window Damage (wood) from hail storm at #4430 (Wollenhaupt) On May 18, I sent an email with three photos of the hail damage on my unit. Picture 3 showed the damage on the lower edge for the windows on the back (north) in the master bedroom - I thought only the paint had been beaten off; I was wrong; there is a hole in the corner of the frame of the window. 5/18/19
132 Concrete Repairs all across the property This year we will focus on concrete repairs. LACC surveyed the property and noted many repair needs on sidewalks, roads, etc. that need immediate repair. Some of the areas in front of front doors did not get worked on in previous years, so it is time to address those issues. Some segments will need to be removed and replaced. This work will likely be expensive and may require a draw from reserves. We will know more once it is all quoted. Andy (#4441) agreed to get the concrete survey notes from Denny and share with homeowners, who will review and let Andy know if there are any issues that are not on the list. 5/13/19
131 Replacing roofing, gutters, and siding after storm damage from May hailstorm Bids are coming in from roofing companies and other contractors. 6/1/19
130 Planting trees along east fence line behind #4441 (TeBockhorst) and between building 1 & 2 to replace trees lost last year 1/27/19
129 Sidewalks in front of #4555 (Langwith) and #4525 (Dardis) have settled enough to make front steps too high, need to be repaired or replaced 1/27/19
128 #4410 (Thorsheim) rock retaining wall on west side experiencing some degradation, needs repair 5/13/19 - Deb (#4410) mentioned that the boulder wall west of her unit is needs attention, and asked if that was association or personal responsibility. Denny indicated it is the association’s to repair. There are also some downspouts to inspect and possibly reroute. Denny will stop by to assess. 1/27/19

126 #4420 (Van Heukelom) Minor siding replacement and painting 1/27/19
125 Cracked/Broken cement on sidewalk outside the front door @ #4441 (TeBockhorst) Along the wall directly across from the front door, where the sidewalk meets the back of the garage, water has damaged and cracked the cement, and seems to be eroding. Needs to be repaired and sealed. 10/21/18

123 Restoration to the area between buildings 1 & 2 where large oak tree was removed (seed/sod.) 10/19/18 - Dirt was brought in to fill the area and moved by Denny. Michael Todd began some restoration behind HG I & HG II on 10/19. He will aerate and seed the areas where the trees were removed.
122 COMPLETED - Remove damaged walnut tree behind #4441 (TeBockhorst) damaged by wind. Many large branches were hanging from the tree after a windstorm. West Central Tree Service examined the tree and determined it was rotten and would have to be removed. Tree was removed and cleanup completed 10/19/18. 10/19/18
121 COMPLETED - Remove sycamore branch behind #4545 (Thies) that is hitting window. Michael Todd began some restoration behind HG I & HG II today.,He will aerate and seed the areas where the trees wereremoved. 10/19/18

118 Remove 2 pine trees near #4411 (Bratney,) they are almost dead and look poor. 10/10/18 - Paul suggested not replacing them to allow more sun on the grass in that area.
117 #4545 (Thies) siding on privacy wall (deck) needs repair. 10/10/18 - Issue was caused due to homeowner installed privacy wall, so will be homeowner’s responsibility. Denny will speak with homeowner to coordinate.
116 Mulch near south fence needs to be distributed more evenly throughout the area. 11/01/18 - Some distribution has been completed, but additional work is needed. Work will continue when thawing happens.
115 COMPLETED - Remove debris pile behind 4431 (Mayo & Wharton) & 4441 (TeBockhorst.) Debris pile was removed 10/20/18. 10/20/18
114 COMPLETED - Street lights are currently not working. Electrician dug near the mailboxes and found and repaired wire on 10/19, but recently they stopped working again. December
113 Flower bed at #4535 (Baier) will be restored to plantings consistent with other units.

101 COMPLETED - Lawn aerated & sod installed Michael Todd (lawncare contractor) aerated and over-seeded all grassy areas. New sod was placed on the front area of 4440 (Riehl,) front areas of 4555 (Langwith,) 4535 (Baier,) and 4525 (Thies.) These were small areas that were damaged. September
